Mogadishu, 23 July 2026 – Director General of the Ministry of Internal Security, Mr. Mohamed Shire, chaired a coordination meeting at the Ministry’s headquarters to fast-track preparations for the forthcoming National Security Conference.
The meeting brought together representatives from the Office of National Security, Ministry department directors and technical advisers to review progress, align priorities and coordinate preparations for the conference. Discussions focused on strengthening coordination, finalizing priority activities and ensuring a well-organized and outcome-oriented conference.
Speaking at the meeting, the Director General underscored the importance of close collaboration and a unified approach among all relevant institutions, noting that the National Security Conference will provide a key platform for advancing Somalia’s national security priorities and strengthening institutional coordination.
